Audition for the W&L Choral Program

Interested in joining the renowed W&L choral program but missed the August 30 auditions? You can still schedule an audition. Just email Dr. Lynch at lynchs@wlu.edu to arrange a time through Sept. 7.

Open fall auditions for the W&L choral program for the 2026-27 season will take place until September 7. The one audition is for all three W&L choirs: the University Singers, Cantatrici and the Glee Club (C/GC).

The University Singers, W&L’s award-winning internationally competitive touring choir conducted by Dr. Shane M. Lynch, will have a 2026-27 concert season that will include being one of the featured choirs at the Jeju International Choral Festival in South Korea during the February 2027 break along with being the featured choir at several other events throughout the year. The University Singers will also feature work with several noted composer/conductors throughout the year. Other feature events include the Parents and Family Weekend Concert, Lessons and Carols, and multiple other concerts throughout the fall and winter terms. C/GC form the backbone of the W&L choral program and perform at multiple events throughout the year. C/GC’s programming is wide-ranging, evocative, and will feature work with several renowned composers. Cantatrici, conducted by Prof. Lacey R. Lynch, and the Glee Club, conducted by Dr. Lynch, also provide the student members of the Morgan E. Luttig '14 Choral Conducting Mentorship Program (CCMP) real-world experience, as they help decide the concert programming and assist in running both ensembles. Follow C/GC on Instagram @wluchoir.
