Founded in 1987, Washington Term provides W&L students a memorable living and learning experience in Washington, DC, during a six-week, six-credit program each Spring Term. In 40 years, over 600 Washington Term students have served on Capitol Hill, the Executive Branch, non-profits, news organizations, DC policy shops, and more. In addition to work experience and coursework, each week we meet with DC policy leaders and W&L alum at places like the State Department, Congressional Research Service, Axios.com, and more.
