Linking audience members through the acts of viewing a movie, enjoying food, and discussing reactions, since 2022, the Screen to Square Film Series has helped individuals reflect on how they perform their civic duties. The DeLaney Center is proud to continue that tradition.
The theme for the 2025-2026 season is “Racial Adversity and Southern Resilience.” On Wednesday, 10/1 at 5:30PM in Washington & Lee University’s Stackhouse Theater, we will commence this year’s explorations by showing Ryan Coogler’s "Sinners". Following the screening, at approximately 7:45PM, panelists—including members of the Lexington/Rockbridge community and W&L professors—will lead the audience into a discussion touching on small business ownership, horror, and cultural commemoration. This event is free, and all are invited. Pizza, dessert, and drinks will be served.
Prime your pump for Halloween by joining us for this evocative event. If you have questions, feel free to contact Sandy Sibold at DeLaneyCenter@wlu.edu or (540) 458-8027. To learn more about the DeLaney Center and its programming, visit https://my.wlu.edu/delaney-center.
