Open auditions for the W&L choral program for the 2025-26 season will take place from March 24-April 3. The one audition is for all three W&L choirs: the University Singers, Cantatrici and the Glee Club (C/GC). This is the only open audition for the 2025-26 University Singers for returning students. Callbacks for the University Singers, if necessary, will take place on Sunday, April 6.
The University Singers, W&L’s award-winning internationally competitive touring choir conducted by Dr. Shane M. Lynch, will have a 2025-26 concert season that will include a tour during the February 2026 break along with being the featured choir at several other events throughout the year. The University Singers will also feature work with several noted composer/conductors throughout the year. Other feature events include the Parents and Family Weekend Concert, Lessons and Carols, and multiple other concerts throughout the fall and winter terms. C/GC form the backbone of the W&L choral program and perform at multiple events throughout the year. C/GC’s programming is wide-ranging, evocative, and will feature work with several renowned composers. Cantatrici, conducted by Prof. Lacey R. Lynch, and the Glee Club, conducted by Dr. Lynch, also provide the student members of the Choral Conducting Mentorship Program (CCMP) real-world experience, as they help decide the concert programming and assist in running both ensembles. Interested students should contact Dr. Lynch to schedule an audition time. The auditions take roughly 20 minutes and do not require a prepared piece.
